Last July 13, 2009, the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila helped jumpstart the new school year for four Pathways scholars.
As part of the celebration of the 60th year of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Philippines, the Thai Embassy presented a check for P120,000 to cover the expenses of college education of Suzanne Salonga (4-BS Psychology), Archie Porcadilla (3-BS Commerce) both from St. Scholastica’s College, Monica Aiko Vicente (3-BSBA Marketing Management) from Philippine School of Business and Arts, and Jessica Eclarin (3 – BSBA Major in Management Accounting) from Centro Escolar University.
His Excellency Ambassador Kulkumut Singhara Na Ayudhaya, Ambassador to the Philippines, expressed his admiration for the students whose hard work has brought them success in college despite their financial situation. He emphasized the value of education and encouraged them to study hard and always do their best in all endeavors.
Since 2007, the Royal Thai Embassy has been supporting Pathways and helping more students fulfill their dream of a college education.
