Last March 7, 2010 Pathways helped jumpstart the graduating batch’s job hunt. The 31 seniors were treated to a series of talks about the job hunt – from job application to managing the first year at work. Topics included writing effective résumés, dressing to impress and acing the job interview. Also included were topics on setting career expectations and goals as well as saving and investing for a rainy day.

It was truly an eye-opening event, where all participants, including staff learned something new. The event was made even more special as all resource speakers were Pathways volunteers and participants who have since graduated and are starting to make their mark in their own fields. They shared their own personal challenges and achievements, as well as learnings since they stepped into the work force.

Thank you to Tan Doroin, Cyril Gella, Francis Alcausin, Eulyn Villamayor, Engr. Shyr Lavern Luci and Suzette Lim for keeping your Pathways family close to your hearts, sharing your experiences and being an inspiration to your fellow Pathways participants.
To all the graduating seniors, congratulations and best of luck on your job hunt and the new adventures you will take!
