Ericsson launches new scholarship program with Pathways

Eight Pathways students were recently awarded full scholarships by Ericsson through the Ericsson HR GSSC Leadership through Excellence Scholarship Program at the inauguration of the Ericsson Human Resources Global Shared Services Center in Manila.

Janine Trisia Banag, Kristal May Clado and Marseillena Cruz, (BS Accountancy, PUP), David Alistaire Datu (BS Computer Science, CEU), Crystal Prudenciado (BS HRD Management, PUP), Genevee Rellores (BS Industrial Engineering, UPD), Jhunel Quinto (BS Accountancy, CEU), and Alvin Velandres (BS Computer Engineering, CEU) together with Ms. Solvie Nubla, Director of Pathways to Higher Education, met with Ms. Ellen Alarilla, Ericsson Head for Communications and Marketing, Ms. Bessie Ambat, Head for the HR GSSC in Manila, Mr. Magnus Ask, Head for Ericsson HR Global Operations, Ms. Marita Hellberg, Ericsson Senior VP for Human Resources and Organization, and Mr. Rajendea Pangrekar, Ericsson President and Country Manager for Philippines and South Pacific in their Makati office.
They were awarded full scholarships, including daily expenses and hidden costs of college education. Ericsson HR GSSC has also expressed active interest as their employees will also mentor the students and train them during their four years in college and hopefully be candidates for future employment in their company.
