Call for Volunteers for Mentoring Program

Pathways to Higher Education is looking for volunteers willing to mentor our 4th year high school participants!

As a mentor, you will be an “Ate” or “Kuya” to the students who will be making the transition from high school to college. During their senior year they have many responsibilities and opportunities and they will have to make many decisions (i.e. What is the right course and school for them, how to manage their time, etc.) Having a wiser person they can relate to will hopefully help them manage this important phase in their lives.

We need volunteers who:

  • are youthful and dynamic
  • are willing and able to give their time to meet the students
  • are able to have regular “meet-ups” and communication with their students
  • can commit to at least 5 Saturdays (August 14, October 2, December 4, January 8, March 5)
  • are passionate about guiding students
  • are passionate about serving the country

No prior experience needed. Volunteers will be matched with 2-4 high school seniors and will undergo orientation and training at the beginning of the program.

The Mentoring Program promises to be a fulfilling experience where friendships and lasting connections between participants and volunteers will be made!

So what are you waiting for? Email us at info.pathways@gmail.com or call Kristan Angeles at 426.6001 loc. 4045.
