Last February 18, 2012, 3rd year high school Pathways participants were treated to another intellectually-stimulating activity. Thanks to Pathways volunteer, Wenky Yang and her UP Law classmates, the students learned about Republic Act 9262 (anti-violence against women and their children or anti-WAVC) at the forum held in Bellarmine Hall in Ateneo. The law students discussed the types of abuse covered by the law, the remedies the law provides, and what the students can do to help those who fall victim to this crime.
Pathways nurtures young leaders from the public high schools and hopes to arm them not just with academic knowledge, but with life skills and learning as well.
Thank you to Wenky and UP Law students for sharing your time and knowledge with the Pathways participants!
