Last August 14, 2010 73 4th year public high school students from 9 Pathways partner high schools spent their morning at the annual career talk held at Ateneo.
Pathways aims to help the graduating high school students pursue their desired careers, give them alternatives and guide them when choosing the courses they will be applying for in college. That morning proved to be an informative one, with different experts sharing their experiences in their respective fields. Students eagerly listened to the speakers as they talked about the perks of being in a booming industry. Resource speakers included: Mr. Gerard Suanes (Economics), Mr. Michael Sy Occupational Therapy), Dr. Francis Mangonon (Health-related fields), Ms. Morena Plata (Medical Technician), Mr. Exxon Susmerano (Social Work), and Mr. Dino Alcoseba (Psychology).
Fourth year partner participants are now busy preparing for their college entrance examinations. They have already taken the UPCAT and will soon take the exams in Ateneo, De La Salle University and University of Asia & the Pacific. They are also attending the Self Enhancement Workshop camps that develop their skills such as time and stress management which will definitely help them survive and excel in college.
