Pathways's Summer 2008 Activities

Alay ni Ignacio (ANI) Summer School

ANI is composed of student volunteers from the Ateneo de Manila University whose aim is to enable public school students get into top colleges and universities through advanced academic classes every summer. This summer, ANI will begin its classes on April 14 and will end June 1.

ANI is a partner organization of Pathways to Higher Education. It received the Loyola Schools Excellence Award for Outstanding Student Organization last March 10.

LSC College Review

Pathways’ high school participants will attend review sessions in preparation for college exams from April 14 to May 12 in partnership with the Loyola Student Center (LSC).

Aside from review sessions, LSC also conducts college entrance test simulations to give students prior experience before taking actual exams.

College Preparatory Class (CPC)

Pathways will begin holding College Preparatory Classes May 5 for its incoming college participants. The CPC is aimed at providing the participants an idea of college academic subjects, particularly general education. The classes are held at the Ateneo de Manila campus and is facilitated by volunteers.

ANI Wins TAYO Awards

Alay ni Ignacio (ANI), an organization that helps academically gifted but financially underprivileged public high school students get quality higher education, was recognized as one of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) in the country last August August 14, 2006 at a ceremony held at the MalcaƱang Palace.
