Who do we help? Pathways Scholars

Beneficiaries

Pathways to Higher Education identifies talented but financially underprivileged public high school students from Marikina and Quezon City, and equips them with the necessary academic and soft skills to nurture them to become Filipino leaders who will serve their country and transform the nation - and they are called Trailblazers.

To date, we have seen almost 200 Pathways participants graduate from college and give back to their communities as they work in the different fields of business, academe, government and social development.

Talented but underprivileged

To be able to select students who are academically competitive yet financially underprivileged, Pathways follows a set of screening criteria for its participants. There are three (3) main components:

  1. Assessment of the students’ qualifications in terms of aptitude and academic achievements
  2. Assessment of the students’ personal values and character
  3. Determine the respective families’ socio-economic condition and willingness to support the children’s education.
