In the Philippines, there is an average of 60 students in a class in the public school. With an overcrowded classroom, and the general lack of quality in the public education system, students do not have the opportunity to be mentored, develop their confidence, express themselves, discover and fulfill their potential. And as a country moves at the pace of the majority, the Philippines’ potential to be great is as limited as those of the students.
Pathways addresses this gap, and enables these bright public high school students to undergo the Trailblazers Program that will enhance their psychosocial and leadership skills as well academic aptitude to ensure access to quality higher education. This program, thus ensures the growth of a cadre of effective leaders from the grassroots needed in our society.
We envision a nation where Filipinos have equity to access to quality college education and who are productive and responsible leaders of society.
As an organization dedicated to helping deserving but marginalized students become conscientious leaders who will one day contribute to the building of the nation. The organization has five core values for all its stakeholders and members to guide them towards their goal of a stronger community.
